We have a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Events Assistant Manager to join an internationally well-renowned organisation on a full-time, permanent basis in their Northampton based office. We are seeking a diligent individual with a strong background within an events environment, to work within the Corporate and Hospitality Events team alongside a specialised group of managers, assistants and co-ordinators. The role requires an efficient, highly motivated individual to hit the ground running through generating brilliant ideas and initiating them all the way through to delivery.
Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Working closely with staffing managers to ensure plans align with budget
• Planning equipment for events
• Overseeing and managing catering staff
• Planning event set ups from start to finish with managers
• Briefing teams and training junior staff
• Overseeing a team of your own; developing their progress and knowledge
• Any other ad-hoc as and when needed
The ideal candidate will be a confident team player, comfortable speaking to clients and colleagues of different levels in turn creating a positive and proactive environment and culture within the department. The role requires someone strongly organised to ensure the smooth running of events within agreed budgets, whilst being able to maintain a calm level head in doing so.
