Graduate Scheme – Start September 2024, 2 year programme to permanent.

This international business are looking to recruit a driven, positive and curious graduate, ready to commence their placement in September 2024, with a starting salary of £26,000. This role is for a business developer and will be based in the West Midlands, near to Birmingham and Wolverhampton. You will have the opportunity to progress within this global business at the end of the scheme and this follows on from the previous graduate who joined in 2022 and has progressed substantially over their career so far!

The company is a world leader in decarbonization and the manufacturing sector and who’s global client base includes extensive businesses in automotive, architecture, engineering and public realms. In this position, you would be working to develop their mainstream business within UK market and important sustainable products via customer contact, marketing, social media, exhibitions, roadshows and seminars. You would also be setting the future direction by identifying and developing new business opportunities.
This is a real linchpin role of coordinating between technical support, account managers, clients and stakeholders across the industry with a focus upon automotive and the built environment. In the future this will also mean that you will lead projects in CRM systems, digitalization, customer portal and digital contact experience.

During the placement you will have the opportunity to work in the European offices as well as visiting client sites across the UK and potentially further afield. Your immediate team are close knit and highly welcoming and they are looking for a self-motivated and focussed individual who can also be their own boss.

You will be given an individual onboarding programme connected to your specific position where, together with your mentor, you will plan for an individualized customized trip to any other offices within the group and work with the group of 15 European Graduate Trainees. Your position will develop over the 24 month scheme with the end aiming to culminate in a permanent position within the mainstream business group.

• Solid English skills (both written and verbal)
• A strong interest in sustainability and manufacturing/ engineering
• Ideally some interest in the wider geo-political environment and the business and economic impact of global developments that will affect this sector.
• To be driven, honest and respectful
• The ambition to develop and improve both yourself and the business
• Have ability to see the entire picture and be analytical in your work
• To be able to work individually as well as within a team
