Full-time, permanent role based in Birmingham, offering up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience.

A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading regional law farm as a legal secretary has become available! Based in Birmingham, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the firm’s teams and fee earners.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • File management; opening and closing files, ensuring all documents are electronically filed in time and in line with file management best practice
  • Diary management including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings
  • Booking rooms and facilities and liaising with attendees to ensure all relevant equipment is in place
  • Communications and liaising with clients: answering queries, taking messages and escalating information to the relevant team members
  • Working closely and proactively with other members of the secretarial support team
  • Overseeing and managing the fee earners’ financial requirements, including billing and invoicing
  • Document production responsibilities, including typing legal documents and correspondence in an efficient and accurate manner
Prospective applicants must have excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, have an adaptable and flexible approach, and excel working as part of a team. They must also have previous experience working in a similar role within legal, and have a high competency for Microsoft Office.
